Moving forward…

So we’ve had a few changes this year, with the sale of Corrachbeag and now it’s the turn of Cranstackie and Craigmor. They will be sold in the next few weeks, certainly before Christmas; so that leaves us with Ceannabeinne.

We will be giving Ceannabeinne a mini revamp in the Jan/Feb of 2020. New furniture and furnishings to perk things up.

It’s alway been our favourite cottage and we couldn’t let it go. So we’ll move forwards and look forward to welcoming old guests and new to staying with us there.

The 2020 calendar is now up, and prices available so you can go ahead and book online to stay in one of the most perfectly situated cottages in Scotland!

May 2018 Newsletter

Summer nearly here.

Summer is nearly here and we hope that wherever you are, you’re enjoying this good Spring weather.

We’ve just come back from a week in Ceannabeinne and had a marvellous time and it was good to see the area buzzing with visitors and runners just about to begin their Cape Wrath challenge week!

Firstly, in this newsletter, we are emailing you say that in a few days you will be receiving an important email from us, which is to help us comply with the new European data protection laws that are to be applied with regard to email databases.

You will NEED to reply to the email so that we know you definitely want to continue receiving newsletters from us.

Please keep an eye out for this mail in your inbox and in your spam too and if you have not received anything in the next week, please contact us to go on the list.

Kind regards

Richard Norman

Spring 2017

The sun is shining once more and the cottages are already filling up for 2017.

The NC500 is bringing a great deal of interest and visitors to Durness, and we look forward to a few new guests staying this year, due to the publicity this new driving route has brought.

We still have a few weeks available, most months from April through to August, although Ceannabeinne is almost full for the year.

If you have a large group of people (8 or more) and are driving the NC500, please contact us for the possibility of a group stay at Craigmor and Cranstackie cottages in Durness village. It’s directly on the NC500 route and has parking for 6 cars available. If you are looking for a stay of two or more nights, we may be able to help you. Please email or call Richard on 07775505272

Autumn Newsletter

With the Summer drawing to a close, we would like to say a big thank you to all those who have stayed with us throughout this year.

2017 is a special year for us, as it will mark the 30th anniversary of Norsehaven.

During all those years we have welcomed many guests and have made lasting friendships, which are so important to us. Some guests have been so faithful as to visit us every year, and they will know who they are!

We are also blessed with three wonderful housekeepers, without whom we could not run the business.

We look forward to welcoming you all again, and at this time of the year may I remind you of our special seasonal offers.

Winter Discount
For those who may be looking to go away in the winter months, please remember that we offer a very special price, between 05 November and 25 March, of just £ 295 (subject to having paid for a full price holiday in 2016, and not including the Christmas and the New Year weeks).

Christmas and New Year
In addition, for those who paid for a full priced week in 2016, we are offering the Christmas and New Year weeks at a 25% discount.

Festive Special (9 nights for the price of 7)
We have just introduced a special offer for those wanting a Christmas and New Year break, but with the benefit of getting the children back home in time for their new term, or or for adults to get back to their jobs.

Stay from Saturday 24 December through to Monday 02 January for just the price of the Christmas week. (Note: based on the full Christmas prices, not the 25% discount offered above for each separate week)

If you wish to take up any of the above special offers, please contact us before trying to book.

We very much look forward to the next year, and for those that have already booked for 2017, a special thank you!

Best wishes

August Newsletter 2015

Welcome to the August Newsletter.

For those of our guests staying with us in Durness, we are pleased to let you know that the village stores are now open on a Sunday, from 10am to 2pm. Sunday newspapers will be available as well.

In addition, vehicle fuel is now available 24 hours a day at Mackays, thanks to the installation of a credit card payment machine.

For our Kinlochbervie guests, the Old School House restaurant continues to receive great reviews, and is a welcome addition, to the village. It is fully open to non- residents all day and booking is advisable.

For those of you looking for a break later in the year, don’t forget our ‘Low Season Discounts’ from 1st November and we have a couple of weeks available in Craigmor or Cranstackie in September.

With very best wishes
