Ceannabeinne Lay-outCeannabeinne cottage is a traditional bothy style building, which was originally a schoolhouse. The Master’s living room was at one end and then rest of the building was the school room with the large fireplace at the far end. When it was renovated in 1987 a large double bedroom was created, with walk through corridor, the Master’s living room became the kitchen, with a bathroom next door and the full height school room became the main living room, with dining table, sofa and armchairs, and with the addition of two extra beds, one a single and the other a single/pull out double bed an extra bedroom when needed. The Kitchen has an oil fired AGA, as well as oil fired heating through out the cottage. There is also an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer and ample storage. The main entrance lobby has plenty of coat hooks and wellie storage with vinyl or hardwood flooring throughout the cottage. The bathroom has bath with shower over and the double bedroom, ample clothing storage and comfy double bed. The extra beds in the living room are also very comfy, and one pulls out into a 6ft6 x 5ft wide double. We also provide a cot for under 2’s. There is clothes storage in a chest of drawers in the room. The three seater sofa is perfect for lounging on, and the armchairs deep and comfy for everyone to relax and enjoy watching SKY TV or simply the view from the windows on the ever changing vista over Ceannabeinne beach.
